Clip Context

  • “Advanced Workshop in Multiparty Negotiation and Conflict Resolution,” a graduate course at the Harvard Kennedy School with 60 students enrolled.
  • This course pushes students to apply their learning to realistic negotiation scenarios through immersive, absorbing learning activities. In this class period, students spend almost two hours role-playing different countries in the Pacific Rim as they attempt to negotiate a trade deal. The teaching team then leads a debrief of the exercise.
  • This clip comes 2 hours, 30 minutes into the 3-hour class session as the teaching team continues to debrief the simulation with students.
